Grand United Order of Salem
START A LODGE
Bring Salem to Your Community
A Salem Lodge is more than a meeting place—it is a center for friendship, service, leadership, and community impact.
By organizing a Lodge, you can help preserve the proud traditions of the Grand United Order of Salem while creating opportunities to support youth, serve elders, strengthen families, and promote fellowship in your community.
Who Can Start a Lodge?
A new Lodge may be organized by ten (10) or more qualified individuals who share the principles of Virtue, Peace, and Union and are committed to serving their community. New Lodges are chartered by the Grand Lodge and receive guidance, training, and ongoing support throughout the organization process.
The Chartering Process
Starting a Lodge is simple:
-
Contact the Grand Lodge to express your interest.
-
Gather at least ten qualified individuals who wish to organize a Lodge.
-
Submit a petition with your proposed Lodge information.
-
Receive guidance and training from a Grand Lodge representative.
-
Receive your Charter and begin serving your community as an official Salem Lodge.

Build a Lasting Legacy
Every Salem Lodge becomes part of a tradition of service that has strengthened communities for generations. Together, we can preserve our heritage, support one another, and make a lasting difference.
