Membership Qualifications
Applicants for membership must:

• Be a person of good moral character.

• Freely seek membership of their own choice.

• Believe in Almighty God or in the sovereign moral law by which conscience is judged.

• Meet the age and other qualifications established by the Grand Lodge.

• Be recommended by a Salem member in good standing (unless otherwise permitted by Grand Lodge policy).

• Successfully complete the investigation, secret ballot, and initiation process.

 

How to Join
Joining Salem is simple:
1. Submit an Application
Complete a membership application and submit the required initiation fee.
2. Meet Our Members
A committee will meet with you to answer your questions, learn about your interest in Salem, and verify your eligibility.
3. Membership Ballot
Your application will be presented to the Lodge for a confidential vote.
4. Initiation
Upon election, you will be formally initiated into the Order and welcomed as a Brother or Sister of Salem.
5. Begin Your Journey
Become active in your local Lodge by attending meetings, serving your community, participating in fellowship, and helping preserve the traditions of Salem.
