Distance Should Never Keep You From Building Community
Not everyone who wants to join the Grand United Order of Salem lives near an established Lodge. That should not prevent you from becoming part of the Order, building meaningful connections, or helping bring Salem to your community.

Qualified individuals who do not live within a reasonable distance of a local Lodge may join the Order as a Member-at-Large.

Join Union Lodge No. 187
Members-at-Large are affiliated with Union Lodge No. 187, the virtual Lodge of the Grand United Order of Salem established specifically for members who do not currently have a local Lodge in their area.
Union Lodge No. 187 is led by the current Grand Lodge Officers and meets virtually at least four times each year to conduct regular Lodge business, provide education and fellowship, plan service, and keep Members-at-Large connected to the work of Salem.

As a Member-at-Large, you can participate in the life of the Order even when the nearest Lodge may be hours away.

Build Where You Are
Membership-at-Large is more than a way to join from a distance. It can be the beginning of something new in your own community.

As other Salemites join in your area, Members-at-Large are encouraged to come together, organize, and work toward establishing a local Lodge once the Grand Lodge membership requirements for a charter have been met.

You do not have to wait for Salem to come to your community.
You can help bring Salem there.

Stay Connected. Serve Where You Are. Build Something Lasting.
Whether you live in a large city, a small town, or a community where the Order has not yet established a Lodge, there is still a place for you in Salem.

Join Union Lodge No. 187 as a Member-at-Large, connect with members throughout the Order, serve your community, and help build the foundation for the next Lodge of Salem.
Do not let distance keep you from fellowship, service, or community.

Become a Member-at-Large
